Thing #12

One of my favorites of the "google world" would be Google Translate. As a teacher you will run into many different languages that you may  not understand or know how to respond. So I played around with this and decided to see how I would say "Hi my name is Ms. Lindsey." and it told me exactly how I would say it. This would be so helpful if you wanted to teach your students how to say something in a different language or even to speak to a student who does not speak your dominate language, or a language that you speak.
Also, I really liked Google Alerts. It seems to be very helpful and keeps you up to date on things that you are interested in. You can set up to be alerted for things that could help you as a math teacher or any kind of teacher, but also you can be alerted to know about the lastest happenings in your favorite sport team, or the town that you are from, and so on.
Google is more than just a search engine. Google has everything that you need when exploring the internet.

  1. I just recently came across Google Translate thanks to one of my education teachers and have installed the app directly on my iPhone. It's awesome for translating and very helpful to have on hand. I love your Google post! There's so much more to it than a typical search engine. I visit Google probably on a daily basis for one thing or another!
